The program is coaching focused and fun learning based for players.
Please note the information regarding pitching, T hitting, strikes, balls and distance etc is located on the B system schedule.

The volunteers that have supported Amherst Little League over the last 70 years are a true testament to why our program exists. Countless hours, weekends and weekdays . Last year we created a Wall of Fame to celebrate these volunteers. Each year we will add members to our Wall of Fame . Nominations are open, please follow the link. We will continue to add members each year.
*NEW* and continued for 2025 parents will score keep for the Major or A division which has children aged 11&12.
A parent scorekeeping manager will schedule parents to help with this on Home games only.
Our Canteen was a huge success and we will continue to keep it open. Popcorn, drinks, hotdogs, snacks and treats. Proceeds go back into Amherst Little League . We will be starting a canteen committee and need Adults to help inside. Please see the canteen to put your name on the canteen volunteer list.
Gear – Children gloves come in different sizes. For our smallest athletes a 10 inch glove will likely fit, however as the kids age and grow so does their glove. A 12 year old typically wears a glove around 11 inches, give or take an inch. Outfield and first base gloves are typically bigger at 12 inches and infield gloves are smaller at 11-11 ¾. Sizing charts are available online.
Each child needs their own helmet. Helmets come in two sizes and are one size fits most. They also grow with the child. Helmets can last for years.
Children turning 9+ need a protective jock or jill.
Cleats are not necessary but are welcome. No metal cleats.
Bats – we have them but if you have your own it MUST have the USA symbol on it. No exceptions!
Maltby’s Sports and Canadian Tire have lots of equipment in stock this year.

Amherst Little League Baseball has been fortunate to have access to three baseball fields, a club house and a soon to be completed pitching and batting facility.
